Are you a Starcraft 2 player? If so you might be one of the following: 1. The nerd who constantly plays to get maximum knowledge to conquer the game. 2. The casual player who tries to have fun playing Starcraft 2 but never really gets somewhere. 3. The newbie who just started playing Starcraft 2 but does not really understand how to play to win and climb up the ladder.
Most people are the number 2 and 3 and it really irritates them that no-lifers run around killing them over and over and over again. Trust me, I know how it felt! The fact is that those players often fit the first description. They spend a huge amount of time sitting in front of their computer, often up to 10 hours a day to get that knowledge. They need to do this because they are addicted to winning and since they spend so much time trying to figure things out, they reject doing other things in life. The game is all that's left for them.
Now, I don't think you want to end up as them, but I do think that you really want to play as a pro in Starcraft 2. Otherwise you would not be here, would you? There is one more type of person that plays Starcraft 2, he fits only the special fourth description: 4. The player who learned from the pros themselves instead of doing everything on his own.
This player knows that learning everything from a game takes a lot of time, which he does not have. He knows that to become the best he will have to sacrifice his valuable time for a game if done wrong. Now this kind of player is smarter than the others. He already knows that people who fit the first description of players have already figured out how to win in this game. He knows that they are becoming the pros of Starcraft 2. So instead of trying to compete with them, he learns from them.
This player does not spend 10 hours a day playing Starcraft 2 to reach the top. Because he already knows how the pros play to get there. He simply uses the same top quality methods to get furthest in the least amount of time. He simply spend about one lousy hour reading a guide and viola he's already better than most people playing 10 hours a day!
This is the type of player you meet sometimes that just totally amazes you. I mean, he has learned everything from a pro, why wouldn't he amaze you? He's also that type of person who has a real life besides gaming but still pwns everyone he sees in game with his secret strategies and step-by-step guides.
